The Richton Park Village Board is made up of six trustees and the president. The village president and six trustees are elected at large on a staggered basis. The village president is chief elected official of the village and presides over all meetings. The Village Board meets in formal session the second and fourth Monday of every month at 7:30 pm. There is only one meeting in November and December in observation of the holiday season.

The village clerk is the custodian of all official records and documents of the village. The clerk works with village staff to ensure records and documents are recorded in a timely and accurate manner. The clerk attests to and seals all documents of the village.
